As I like to travel, I like to look at documentaries that teach me how to survive in nature. Know how to cast a fire without a lighter, search drinking water in desert, hunting manually fish and other are basic knowledge how survival in nature. In this article I will meet you my favorite outdoor documents, which help me learn how to survive in nature.
Man vs. Wilde

Bear Grylls (all name Edward Michael Grylls) was an elite soldier British SAS army. Him survival knowledge from British army used to make a document named Man vs. Wilde. In this document Bear travel to the different countries, where he has the task survive in each of these countries.
You can find out in this document series how are method survival in SAS army. For example, you will learn how to cast a fire without a lighter, search drinking water in desert, hunting manually fish and other are basic knowledge how survival in nature.
This is very hardcore document, because Bear some time eat uncut residues from the bear shits, uses his own teeth to kill fish and make sushi, eat live beetles, or squeezes the water from of elephant dung, which he then drinks. Dangerous animals such as bears, lions, cheetahs, etc. are all around him. Dangerous animals such as bears, lions, cheetahs, etc. are all around him.
The objective of this document is clear. Bear want show people how get from nature the maximum things necessary for survival. Although I did not a lot of these hardcore things, the document gave me other useful information to help me survive in nature.
Bear Grylls also make other survival documents named Worst Case Scenario, Escape from Hell, Get our alive with Bear Grylls, Running Wild with Bear Grylls and other.
Show Top 10 Insane Bear Grylls Moments:
Dual Survival

Dual Survival is a United States reality cable television series that airs on the Discovery Channel. The show features a pair of survival experts in predetermined scenarios while in challenging environments.
For the first two seasons, the show featured the differing outdoor survival philosophies and skills of Cody Lundin, a naturalist and primitive-skills expert who runs the Aboriginal Living Skills School in Arizona and Dave Canterbury, a military-trained survival instructor who runs the Pathfinder Training School in Ohio. In the later part of the document, these two are replaced by other survival instructors.
In Dual Survival's first two seasons, each episode featured Lundin and Canterbury in a different survival scenario: marooned on a deserted island, lost in a forbidding jungle, stranded in an arid desert, etc. They had to survive for a number of days with minimal gear that pertained to the scenario. Along the way, Lundin and Canterbury demonstrated various survival skills such as using primitive methods to make fire, obtaining potable water, and hunting, foraging, or gathering food.
Conflict often arose from differences between the actors philosophies and methods. For example, Canterbury often remarked on Lundin’s choice to not wear shoes or long pants, regardless of the scenario’s environment, such as glaciers.
I love this document precisely because of the different character of the actors. While Cody Ludin is a typical philosopher, not active, he is more effeminate, prefer her plants rather than catching the beast and is still barefoot, so Dave Caterbury is the opposite, an action hunter who tries to survive by literally climbing through the corpses.
It's funny see how they work together in nature. For example, Caterbury decided to catch and kill a crocodile. When he show dead crocodile Ludin, so Ludin was upset and Caterbury said that it was very dangerous. Eventually they both reconciled and ate crocodile.
Despite the fact that the document is very funny, you will learn a lot of useful survival information such as how to gut an animal, which plants are edible, how to build a shelter and how to hand make the fire.
