von Gary Gardiner

The City of Westerville is proposing changes to traffic and parking on sections of State Street in Uptown Westerville.
State Street in Uptown is scheduled to be resurfaced during 2019. The conceptual plans below address parking, sidewalks, crosswalks, and parking on State.
Concept A
The simplest concept widens the sidewalk by 2 feet, brings the brick walkways into ADA compliance, painted crosswalk striping, and has 62 on-street parking spots.
Concept B
The second concept adds curb bump-outs with brick crosswalks and 45 on-street parking spaces. The sidewalks will also be 2-feet wider and ADA compliant.
Concept C
The third concept has Park Street to College Ave. built to the the second concept plan.
State Street from College Avenue to West Home Street will have its sidewalks widened by seven feet and no on-street parking.
Any of these changes must be approved by City Council and the Uptown Review Board. The city is also asking for public input in a notice at the bottom of the flier.
