Sunbury Road asphalt level checked

Worker checks the angle of asphalt being laid along Sunbury Road in what will be the new northbound lane. The roadway is laid at a slight angle so water will run off the finished surface and not puddle causing a driving hazard.

The new roadway will be almost two feet lower in some sections that the old roadway, show at left in the above photo.

The anticipated completion date for this project is late fall 2017, weather permitting.
