Fourth of July parade, fireworks, and entertainment

Westerville will be filled with patriotic pride on Tuesday, July 4 with a day of community events presented by the Rotary Club of Westerville. This year’s theme is “Home of the Free, Because of the Brave.”

Rotary Run/Walk & Children's Fun Run
Alum Creek Park North, 221 W. Main St.
6:30 a.m.  Registration begins for Rotary Run/Walk and the Children’s Fun Run
8 a.m. Rotary 5K Run/Walk
9:15 a.m.  Rotary Children's Fun Run
9:25 a.m.  Awards Ceremony

Parade
St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State St. to Electric Ave.
11 a.m.  Staging and drop-off at St. Paul the Apostle 
1 p.m.   Parade begins
Parade Route:  The Parade will begin at the intersection of N. State Street and Old County Line Road. It will then proceed south on State Street to Electric Avenue, then east on Electric Avenue to Westerville South High School.

Canned and boxed food items for the WARM Community Food Drive will be collected along the route. Please visit www.warmwesterville.org for a list of most needed items.

Live Music, Food Trucks and Family Fun
Westerville South High School (WSHS), 303 S. Otterbein Ave. 
2 p.m. Food Trucks open
4:30 p.m.  Kids Fun Zone opens
Performances
2:30 p.m. Yours for the Taking
4:15 p.m.  Innervision
6 p.m.  Hurricane Jerry & The Stormfront
7:45 p.m,.Phil Dirt & The Dozers
Live DJs and music from 104.9 The River will entertain between performances.  Please note posted parking restrictions in the area surrounding WSHS for emergency vehicle and neighborhood access.

Fireworks
Dusk (~10 p.m.) Fireworks will simulcast with 104.9 The River.
Concert-goers staying for fireworks at WSHS should bring chairs/blankets. If fireworks are canceled because of rain, they will be rescheduled for Wednesday, July 5 at dusk.
