VIDEO: Women Berates "Punk Ass" NY Gov Cuomo During Press Conference
A small incident turned into a big media event after New York State police briefly handcuffed and jailed Daily News Albany bureau chief Kenneth Lovett after the veteran writer was seen speaking on his cellphone Wednesday in the lobby of the Senate chamber.

A sign in the lobby says cellphones aren’t allowed to be used in the chamber, but doesn’t specifically mention the lobby, where phones are often used by legislators, their staffers, lobbyists, onlookers and reporters when the Senate is not in session.

Lovett said he was taken into custody over the rarely-enforced violation as he spoke with a source.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo who never lets a photo-op pass him by, especially in an election year, had gone down to the Capitol lockup to try and set Lovett free.

However, by the time Cuomo arrived Lovett was had already been sprung after the Senate declined to press charges.

The bizarre story should have ended there, but Cuomo who just found out 'Sex in the City' star Cynthia Nixon would be challenging him for the governorship, didn't want all those cameras to go to waste.

Stepping up to the microphones Cuomo started his imbecile diatribe by declaring “Freedom of the press is alive and well in the city of Albany,” then things got real lively, real fast.

An unhinged woman who looked as if she escaped from either a homeless shelter or the funny farm started ripping into the Gov. Pointing her finger at Cuomo and calling him a "Punk Ass"

The woman, wearing a Yankees jacket, a striped stocking cap, and headphones, continued her barrage, saying: You’re not doing a motherf–king s–t either! I got proof! There’s corruption going on here! They’re stealing money! I got the proof right here!”

The verbal assault went on for a good minute before State Police were able to corral the little spitfire and drag her back into the office.
