Iranian Protesters Killed Rises To 12 13 As Civil Unrest Continues
Civil unrest continues to grow in Iran as at least 12 13 Iranian Protesters are now believed to be dead after four days of violent protests.

The protests, which began Thursday night, are a reaction to Iranians believing that after the lifting of UN sanctions, Iran's economy hasn't received the expected boost. Iranians are blaming the rampant corruption in their Government, for the rising fuel costs and skyrocketing food prices.

Iranian president Hassan Rouhani appealed for calm on Sunday. Rouhani attempted to downplay the significance of the protests during a television address on Monday. Still, Iranian state media was forced to concede that the Sunday night protests were the bloodiest yet. At least twelve Thirteen protesters were killed during the course of uprisings across the country.

In his statement, Rouhani called upon the Iranian people themselves to help quell the demonstrations.  “Criticism and protest are an opportunity, not a threat. The nation will themselves respond to the rioters and lawbreakers.” Rouhani continued, “Our nation will deal with this minority who chant slogans against the law and people’s wishes, and insult the sanctities and values of the revolution.”
UPDATE: As of 1/1/2018 - 7pm e.s.t. the death toll has risen to 13
President and Vice President Responds

Iran is failing at every level despite the terrible deal made with them by the Obama Administration. The great Iranian people have been repressed for many years. They are hungry for food & for freedom. Along with human rights, the wealth of Iran is being looted. TIME FOR CHANGE!
