For Climate change supporters in La-La-Land, the timing couldn't be better. Three major hurricanes within weeks of each other. Massive fires in the West. Record-setting chills. Until Trump tweeted about climate change and the frigid cold temperatures over most of the United States, the Media and politicians were all too happy to connect weather and climate change.

Hollywood thought 2017 was going to be year big Eco-movies were going to dominate. With movies like “Blade Runner 2049,” “Geostorm,” “Downsizing,” “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power” and “mother!” Hollywood went all in on climate change.

But when all was said and done these movies didn't perform as they had hoped. Instead of leaping off an Olympic diving board trying to pull off a 1-1/2 somersault with a 3-1/2 twist dive. Hollywood looked more like a fat guy doing a belly flop while wearing a speedo.

Al Gores sequel to his documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” of course garnered the most attention. It turned out to be the biggest disaster since Superstorm Sandy.

Despite massive media attention, fawning reviews and promotions from eco-conscious stars such as Paul McCartney, Bono, and Pharrell Williams. The sequel was able to only pull in $3 million, that's a far cry from the $24 million Al Gore's first snow job of a movie brought in.
