WATCH: Nerds and Outcasts Unite in Trailer for Netflix's 'Everything Sucks!'

High school is remembered in all its bland, embarrassing and hormone-fueled glory in a new coming-of-age dramedy from Netflix. "Everything Sucks!" except the trailer for the upcoming series, which takes us back to the time of dial-up memes, A/V club and the kind of nerves and boredom one can only find in high school.

"Everything Sucks!" follows two groups of students who attend Boring High School in 1996 and join forces to make their own film. According to Deadline, Peyton Kennedy ("American Fable") and Jahi Winston ("The New Edition Story") star as students Kate Messner and Luke O'Neil, with Patch Darragh ("Sully") and Claudine Nako ("Grimm") as their flirtatious single parents. The half-hour dramedy also stars Rio Mangini, Quinn Liebling, Sydney Sweeney and Elijah Stevenson. "Everything Sucks!" hails from writer/executive producers Ben York Jones ("Like Crazy") and Michael Mohan ("Save the Date"). Midnight Radio produces.

Judging by the new trailer, the series seems like a cross between "Freaks and Geeks" and "Stranger Things," with teenage love (of the heterosexual and rainbow varieties) and the trials and tribulations of growing up taking center stage. The series also gives a sweet second chance at love to the single parents of Kate and Luke, who have their own fun TPing an old flame's house and jumping in the school pool. We'll just have to wait and see if the series lives up to this sneak peek.
