Denver Film Critics Society: 'Lady Bird' Wins Best Film, Star Saoirse Ronan Wins Best Actress

The Denver Film Critics Society (DFCS) have announced their winners for the best in film in 2017. Earning top kudos for the best film of the year was Greta Gerwig's "Lady Bird," with lead star Saoirse Ronan also receiving the award for best actress. Veteran director Christopher Nolan received the accolade for best director for his work on "Dunkirk," which also earned a win for best score. "Get Out" also impressed the DFCS, winning for best original screenplay and best sci-fi/horror film. We'll just have to wait and see how this most recent precursor effects contenders for the Oscars ceremony in March.
