Slovakia: a breakthrough of the extreme right in the European elections?

It is the turn of the Slovaks to vote this Saturday for the European elections.
The progressive and pro-European parties hope to make a breakthrough, taking advantage of the momentum of the election of Liberal President Zuzana Čaputová last March.
The poll also looks like a "final test" for leftist ruling populists whose support has fallen after the murder of an investigative journalist.
But the populist and anti-European parties seem well set to achieve good scores. According to several observers, the neo-Nazi party and anti-migrants LSNS could even enter the European Parliament.
Another uncertainty of the ballot: participation. In 2014, less than 20% of the population participated in the vote, making Slovakia the country with the highest abstention rate.
