South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Saturday issued his mandate promising his country "better days" and must now quickly present the government he has charged to boost the economy and eradicate corruption.
Under a blue sky, 36,000 spectators, the finest of the local political class and forty foreign heads of state and government witnessed his swearing with great pomp in the rugby stadium of the capital Pretoria.
Ramaphosa, 66, was re-elected by MPs on Wednesday after the victory of his party, the African National Congress (ANC), in the May 8 parliamentary elections.....
