Israel: Netanyahu gets until 29 May to form the government

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who won the legislative elections on April 9, got two weeks Monday until the end of May to form a new coalition government.
President Reuven Rivlin instructed Netanyahu on April 17 to form the next government. The outgoing Prime Minister did not complete the task within the originally scheduled 28 days, but knew that he could legally have two more weeks and made a request to the President.
"The president acceded to the prime minister's request and gave him two more weeks to form a government," the presidency said in a statement after a meeting between the two men..........
