In Mexico, Africans on the road of migrants to the United States

Tapachula (Mexico) (AFP) - Charlotte arrived almost two years ago in Tijuana, northern Mexico, hoping to enter the United States one day. But what she wants today is that her two children remained in Africa join her.

This 39-year-old Ghanaian is one of those more and more African migrants who, like thousands of Central Americans, cross Mexico every year in search of a better life.

Her long journey began in Ecuador two years ago, when she arrived by plane, alone, with a simple tourist visa. Then she went north, crossing in particular the jungle in Panama, one of the hardest moments of her journey.

"I did not know that the trip would be so horrible, I was very scared, I do not advise anyone to do what I did," she says in English to AFP in his social housing almost empty, where you can see an old fridge and a table............
