Sanctions: Donald Trump ends exemptions on Iranian oil purchase

Until now, eight countries could still buy Iranian oil, so as not to destabilize the global market. They will be exposed to sanctions from May.
The "maximum pressure" campaign is continuing. Donald Trump on Monday decided to end the exemptions that so far allowed eight countries to buy Iranian oil to "bring to zero" the country's crude exports.
From early May, these countries - China, India and Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Italy and Greece - will be exposed to US sanctions if they continue to buy Iranian oil.
Washington reinstated tough economic sanctions in November against Tehran, accused of "destabilizing" activities in the Middle East, as well as against all countries that do not respect them, following its withdrawal from the 2015 international agreement on nuclear energy Iranian.
Preserving the global market
The ban on the sale of oil was the main measure. At the time, however, the United States had granted these exemptions for six months, ruling that the world market could not withstand too abrupt cancellation of Iranian crude sales.....
