What's hot in Google Pixel 2? Here's an EXCLUSIVE review!

The magnificent Google Pixel, the predecessor of Google Pixel 2 was released in October last year. It created a storm in the market with its specifications and gave a neck-to-neck competition to Apple Smartphones.
It’s really fascinating how Google is all set to release its new Pixel 2 on 20th October, only a few weeks after the launch of iPhone 8 and X. Pixel’s featuring specifications still hold up today. It’s really interesting to see how far Google came with the Pixel 2 series which was launched on October 4. Here’s an exclusive review of Google Pixel 2.
Google Pixel 2 Review
Look and Feel
The Google Pixel 2 has many similar design elements continued from its first phone. With a sleek built, it has a single lens camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Although the smaller phone is to have a similar screen size as the old models (5 inches), it is expected to have thinner sides and a slightly rounded screen, while the XL version will have a larger 6-inch screen
The normal Pixel 2 is expected to have its main camera sitting closer to the center of the phone, while the Pixel 2 XL will have its camera sighted slightly off center.
Google joins Apple in dropping the headphone jack off its features with Pixel 2.
Features and Specifications
Camera
In the new Pixel 2, Google hasn’t added a second camera to either the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL. The move definitely stands out in an industry where practically every other major manufacturer, from Samsung to Apple to Huawei, has taken steps to make a distinction with an additional camera sensor, and lots of added functionality as a result.
It's also got the highest-rated phone camera out there right now.
“DxOMark, the highly controversial but oh-so-marketing-friendly company behind popular phone camera testing — gave the Pixel 2's camera a whopping 98 out of 100. That's after both the iPhone 8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 received scores of 94 in recent days.”
Storage and Processor
The Google Pixel 2 is to have the latest and best processors with a Snapdragon 835 chip. It is also expected to have more storage than the old model, starting at 64GB and also coming as a 128GB model.
The Google Pixel 2 comes with the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood, giving it plenty of power and matching the setup in the LG V30, HTC U11 and Sony Xperia XZ1.
That's paired with 4GB of RAM. This means you'll be able to throw pretty much anything at the Pixel 2 and it should run it without issue.
Google Assistant
Google has been developing and upgrading its Google Assistant AI for some time now. The tag line "ask more of your phone” is probably an indication of how the AI will change everyday tasks for its user.
Google has also joined in the race with Siri, Cortana, and Alexa. From setting up your alarm to taking a selfie, Google Assistant will not disappoint you.
Virtual Reality
Google has gone in heavily on its virtual reality capabilities, launching the Google Pixel with its Daydream View last year. Now, Google is also set to prime the Pixel 2 for virtual reality, launching a new Daydream View VR headset, according to Droid-life.
It's not clear if this will launch alongside the new Pixel 2, however, the leaks have already given a clear look at the new Daydream View, which offers a redesigned headset.
Color Palette
The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be available in three color options and two color options, respectively. The blue model will only be on the smaller Pixel 2, but the Pixel 2 XL gets the "chocolate-dipped" Black and White, which we're really intrigued in.
Water Resistant
This is the first Pixel that's water resistant, with an IP67 rating. So hey, now you can dip in your phone down to one meter deep for 30 minutes!
Embedded eSim
The Pixel 2 has this really new feature called eSIM, or electronic SIM card. It allows you to connect to a network which in this case would be Project Fi. The outstanding thing is, you need no physical SIM Card for this!
“Of course, the Pixel still supports that physical piece of plastic and bits, but you don't need it to connect to Project Fi, and that little detail heralds the future of mobile connectivity — whenever the carriers decide to catch up. In the meantime, if you're in the U.S., you can buy a Pixel 2 and activate Project Fi whenever you want, even if you didn't order it directly them from.”
