First day candidate filings for Montgomery County offices: November 27

HILLSBORO (Heartland Newsfeed) -- Petitions were filed Monday by candidates wishing to be on the March 20 primary ballot through Montgomery County Clerk Sandy Leitheiser's office.
Those filing candidate petitions Monday for the Democratic Party primary includes:
Bryant Hitchings - State's Attorney, special election
Nikki Lohman - County Treasurer
Steven Traylor - County Board District 3, East Fork 3 Precinct Committeeman
Ron Deabenderfer - County Board District 6
Jim Moore - Hillsboro 5 Precinct Committeeman
Ted Ellizondo - North Litchfield 5 Precinct Committeeman
Chuck Napier - North Litchfield 6 Precinct Committeeman
Perry Jackson - South Litchfield 2 Precinct Committeeman
Those filing candidate petitions Monday for the Republican Party primary includes:
Jay Martin - County Treasurer
Daniel Robbins - County Treasurer
Rick Robbins - County Sheriff
Scott Woods - County Sheriff
Sandy Leitheiser - County Clerk
Megan Beeler - County Board District 1
Jim Allen - County Board District 1, Bois D'arc Precinct Committeeman
Evan Young - County Board District 3
Donna Yeske - County Board District 3, Witt 1 Precinct Committeeman
Robert Mulch - County Board District 6
Brad Ozee - East Fork 3 Precinct Committeeman
Terry Richmond - Hillsboro 1 Precinct Committeeman
Dick James - Hillsboro 3 Precinct Committeeman
Shelly Grigoroff - Nokomis 3 Precinct Committeewoman
Marcia Sailsbury - South Litchfield 2 Precinct Committeewoman
Petitions can be submitted at the County Clerk's office until the end of business on Monday, December 4. There will be a ballot placement lottery in the Republican primary for sheriff as both Robbins and Woods filed their petitions at the same time.
