With the fight reaching into Round 5, Edwards looked tired as Nate Diaz seemed like just getting started. With the last minute of the fight remaining, it was Diaz who came charging down with punched at Edwards.
Luckily the clock was in favor of Edwards and Diaz had to quickly change his stance in order to stand hold of his guard. But as things stood Diaz was on the verge of making one of the biggest comebacks within the octagon in his UFC career. Yet he couldn’t.

Starting with the initial rounds, it was Leon Edwards who completely dominated Nate Diaz since the horn. Whereas the latter was on the defensive end, he endured some significant blows to his body and especially on his leg, which were evident as he moved around.
However ever since Diaz started bleeding, he became a completely different fighter. As Edwards started getting tired, it was the former fighter who held the control of the fight.
As no fighter could end the fight, it was the buzzer which signaled the end of the fight. With Edwards winning via unanimous decision over Nate Diaz.
Having said that, just 10 seconds more, many speculated that the winner could be different.
