Who was Pat Casey?

Pat Casey was a motorsports competitor and rider of BMX bikes. According to local media sources, he was the first rider to successfully complete challenging bicycle motocross tricks nicknamed the "decade backflip" and "double decade backflip" in competition. He was referred to as a "transition rider extraordinaire" by the sportswear and footwear company Vans.
When he was a small child, his father constructed him a six-foot-tall ramp that he could use when he was twelve, which sparked his interest in riding. He started building a reputation in the business at the age of 14, and at the age of 16, he received official recognition as a professional rider.
At the age of 18, he relocated from Yorba Linda, California, where he had grown up, to Riverside, California. In his own backyard, he constructed the ramp and trails that became known as Dreamyard, which later served as a BMX practice area. Casey competed in competitions all around the world and received numerous honours for his accomplishments, including a gold medal in the X Games, an annual action sports competition held in the US.
