Sequester – Obama Press Secretary Lies 
The fake news White House press doing the bidding of their liberal masters feign outraged that Sarah Sanders lied to them and whine that President Trump lied to the American people.
This is NOT a bad behavior to excuse bad behavior series
The series we will be doing details all the lies that the Obama administration told. I am in no way claiming that if the Trump administration lied that it is OK since Obama did it first.

This is strictly about the press reaction and their supposed “How Dare You” outrage that the Trump administration lied to them. But they showed no outrage over the many multiple times that the Obama administration sent out their Press Secretary to knowingly lie to the American people.

But of course, these lies told to the same Jim Acosta, April Ryan press corp that oversaw the White House press briefings during the Obama administration showed none of the ‘Democracy ending’ consternation that they are showing with President Trump.

In their final debate before the election, President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney said: "I will not cut our military budget by a trillion dollars, which is a combination of the budget cuts the president has, as well as the sequestration cuts.

Obama responded by saying Romney was assigning blame in the wrong place.

"First of all, the sequester is not something that I've proposed. It is something that Congress has proposed. It will not happen," Obama said. "The budget that we are talking about is not reducing our military spending. It is maintaining it."
Sequester Truth (or as close to the truth as possible)
To get as close to the truth we turned to Bob Woodward’s book The Price of Politics.

Woodward’s reporting shows clearly that defense sequestration was an idea that came out of Obama’s White House. But the intention was to force Republicans to negotiate, not to actually put the cuts into effect.

Woodward summarizes the thoughts of the Obama team: "There would be no chance the Republicans would want to pull the trigger and allow the sequester to force massive cuts to Defense." Democrats, meanwhile, didn’t want to see their favorite domestic programs cut.

Mackenzie Eaglen, an expert on defense with the conservative American Enterprise Institute said: "While both parties are culpable for sequestration because the Budget Control Act passed Congress, the president proposed it originally and ultimately owns its outcome,"

These statements are backed by Obama himself when he so forcefully defended the cuts in this white house press conference. Obama went so far as to say if the Republicans tried top work around the upcoming sequester cuts he would veto any attempted bill.

But once Obama realized that the Republicans were actually going to let the sequester cuts kick in Obama did a 180 and started singing a different tune.
