Nixon, who was born in New York, entered the race believing she can run New York State because she starred in one of the quintessential NYC-based TV series. She had been rumored to run in the gubernatorial race for months.

Liberal groups reportedly had urged her to run, which she addressed during an appearance on the Today show last August.

Not only Republicans but even Democrats think this is a bad idea
