10 Facts Gun Control Liberals Ignore
Liberals and The Media refuse to let facts get in the way of their vilifying the "Evil" NRA and AR-15.
#1 - Violent crime is down and has been on the decline for decades.

According to the National Crime Victimization Survey, violent crime has been declining steadily since the early 1990s. Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

#2 - NO NRA member has been involved in a mass shooting

While the Democrats want to push the "NRA is the Devil" narrative, the truth is hard to ignore. No NRA member has been involved in any school shooting. The Liberals also seem to forget the NRA teaches and expects gun safety from their members.
Put it this way "Do liberals ever claim that Auto Club of America (ACA) or the Automobile Association of America (AAA) as organizations that kill people because they advocate for the American motorist? Of course, they don't, because that would be silly. But, while the NRA, ACA, and AAA advocate for their members rights, they both teach to respect Guns and Cars, and teach their members to be safe, and act responsibly.

#3 - The principal public concerns with respect to guns are suicides and illegally owned handguns, not mass shootings.

According to the Pew Research Center, almost two-thirds of America’s annual gun deaths are suicides.
Most gun-related crimes are carried out with illegally owned firearms—as much as 80 percent according to some estimates.

#4 - Only 3% of Gun-related homicides were caused by Rifles and so-called "Assault Weapons"

The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports prove that the overwhelming majority of gun-related homicides are perpetrated with handguns, with rifles of any kind accounting for less than 3 percent of gun-related homicides. In 2013, 5,782 murders were committed by killers who used a handgun, compared to 285 committed by killers who used a rifle. The same holds true for 2012 (6,404 to 298); 2011 (6,251 to 332); 2010 (6,115 to 367); and 2009 (6,501 to 351).

#5 - Gun-related murderers are carried out by a predictable pool of people.

According to studies, almost all mass public shooters have extensive histories of mental health issues (whether delusional/psychiatric or depression/anger), disturbing behaviors, or interpersonal violence.
Intimate partner conflict and domestic violence history are major risk factors for homicide-suicides, even for those not involving intimate partners.

#6 - Higher rates of gun ownership or an increase in NRA members are not associated with higher rates of violent crime.

Switzerland and Israel have much higher gun ownership rates than the United States but experience far fewer homicides and have much lower violent crime rates than many European nations with strict gun control laws.

#7 - Strict gun control legislation has lead to homicide or violent crime rates INCREASING not decreasing.

Great Britain has some of the strictest gun control laws in the developed world, but the violent crime rate for homicide, rape, burglary, and aggravated assault is much higher than that in the U.S. Further, approximately 60 percent of burglaries in Great Britain occur while residents are home, compared to just 13 percent in the U.S., and British burglars admit to targeting occupied residences because they are more likely to find wallets and purses.
In 2013, Maryland's then-Governor Martin O’Malley signed the Firearms Safety Act into law, which was billed at the time as “among the nation’s most restrictive gun-control measures.” In the years following the law’s passage, the City of Baltimore — that largest city in Maryland — has seen an escalation of its murder rate, jumping from 211 murders in 2014 to 343 in 2017.

#8 - Legally owned firearms are used for lawful purposes much more often than they are used to commit crimes or suicide.

Semi-automatic rifles (such as the AR-15) are commonly used as self-defense weapons in the homes of law-abiding citizens because they are easier to control than handguns, are more versatile than handguns, and offer the advantage of up to 30 rounds of protection. Even Vox has published stories defending the use of the AR-15.

#9 - Concealed carry permit holders are not the problem, but are the solution.

Semi-automatic rifles (such as the AR-15) are commonly used as self-defense weapons in the homes of law-abiding citizens because they are easier to control than handguns, are more versatile than handguns, and offer the advantage of up to 30 rounds of protection. Even Vox has published stories defending the use of the AR-15.

#10 - It's the PERSON Not the GUN who is doing the killing

Liberals make out the AR-15 as the bad guy... But I have yet to see where an AR-15 pulled it's own trigger and gunned down innocent victims. The Media spends far too much time condemning "The Gun" rather than focus on the true evil... The person.
How much do we actually know about the murderous scum that killed 17 innocent people in Parkland? Not really much except that it seems everyone knew he was nuts and that this school shooting had been predicted by a great many people. But instead of the media focusing on all the breakdowns in Government and law enforcement, they spend their time condemning the NRA and AR-15?
