The Florida Film Critics announced their 2017 nominees for the Best of the Year.

"The Shape of Water" leads with nine overall nominations, including Best Picture, Director, and Ensemble. "The Florida Project," surprisingly, missed out, earning only one nomination for supporting actor Willem Dafoe.

The FFCC was established in 1996, and is comprised of online and print critics in Florida. The awards will be announced on December 23.
