The Detroit Film Critics Society announced their 2017 awards winners.

The society named Sean Baker and his film, "The Florida Project" as the Best Director and Film of the year. James Franco, Frances McDormand, Willem Dafoe and Allison Janney were each recognized for their outstanding performances.
