We are in the midst of the awards season kick off. The big races to watch are in Supporting Actor as films like "Call Me by Your Name," "Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri," "The Shape of Water," and "Mudbound" are in the hunt for more than one man from the film.

Other News includes:

"Lady Bird" continues to explode at the box office and shines a light on women making a big breakthrough in Best Director.

Sexual misconduct is heavily in the news as production in "House of Cards" is halted and Harvey Weinstein's woes grow deeper.

Quentin Tarantino's next film finds a home.
