WATCH: Gerard Butler Goes Against a 'Den of Thieves' in New Trailer

STX Entertainment released the official trailer for its upcoming crime thriller "Den of Thieves."
The film, set in Los Angeles, follows an elite unit of the LA County Sheriff's Department as they try to stop a successful bank robbery crew from pulling off a heist against the Federal Reserve Bank in downtown LA.
Gerard Butler stars as the leader of the Sheriff's Department unit. Butler is currently in theaters with the disaster flick "Geostorm." He's also preparing for the third film in his trilogy, "Angel Has Fallen," which follows "Olympus Has Fallen" and "London Has Fallen."
Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson co-stars as a leader in the heist. While Jackson has lent his voice to many soundtracks, he also frequently steps in front of the camera, appearing in films such as "Spy," "Escape Plan," and "Southpaw." He will also return for "Escape Plan 2."
"Den of Thieves" also stars Pablo Schreiber ("American Gods"), Sonya Balmores ("Inhumans"), and O'Shea Jackson Jr ("Straight Outta Compton").
The film was written and directed by Christian Gudegast. He wrote the script for Butler's "London Has Fallen." This will be his directorial debut.
"Den of Thieves" will be in theaters January 19, 2018.
