Chris Pine ("Wonder Woman") and "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins are teaming up once more for TNT's TV adaptation of "One Day She'll Darken." The six episode drama got a straight-to-series order from TNT, with Jenkins directing the pilot and Pine appearing in every episode. Jenkins' husband, Sam Sheridan ("A Fight's Heart"), wrote the series' script, which was inspired by Fauna Hodel's autobiography, according to Deadline. Jenkins, Pine, Sheridan and Michael Sugar ("Spotlight") will executive produce, and filming will begin this fall.

A young Fauna Hodel.
Hodel was an infant when her young birth mother gave her to a black restroom attendant inside a Nevada casino in 1949; because of her odd beginning, she never got to learn about her family from the source. When she grew up, she decided to look into her past, which leads her on an astonishing journey towards the infamous gynecologist Dr. George Hodel, a suspect in the "Black Dahlia" murder of Elizabeth Short in 1947. "One Day She'll Darken" tells Hodel's story, which was published in her autobiography of the same name.
Pine will portray Jay Singletary, a former Marine turned paparazzo. Singletary still carries a tightly held embarrassment over an article he wrote about the elder Hodel during the search for Short's killer. Hodel's appearance provides him with a chance to make things right, but entails a moral issue so deep it will shake him to his very soul. No other casting details have been released.
On a side note, Pine might be appearing in "Wonder Woman 2," despite dying in the first film; Jenkins is not yet secured to direct, but it looks likely that she'll return to the franchise.
No premiere date has been officially released for "One Day She'll Darken," according to Variety.
