WATCH: New Line Cinema Releases New Trailer for 'IT'

New Line Cinema released a new trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's "IT."
"IT" follows a group of kids in the fictional town of Derry, Maine, when it is terrorized by a nefarious entity. When kids start to disappear, one group of misfits discovers the town's deadly secret.
In the novel, the kids' story happens in the 1950s, intermixed with their adult selves in the 1980s. For this adaptation, the kids live in the 1980s. A planned second part will follow the adults in modern day.
The film stars Bill Skarsgård as the infamous clown Pennywise, made famous by Tim Curry in the original 1990 TV movie. The kids are played by Finn Wolfhard ("Stranger Things"), Sophia Lillis ("Sharp Objects"), Jaeden Lieberher ("The Book of Henry"), Wyatt Oleff ("Guardians of the Galaxy"), Jack Dylan Grazer ("Me, Myself and I"), Jeremy Ray Taylor ("Ant-Man"), and Chosen Jacobs ("Hawaii Five-0").
"IT" is directed by Andrés Muschietti. The screenplay was written by Chase Palmer & Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman. The film is based on the novel by Stephen King. Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti are the producers. Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Walter Hamada, Marty P. Ewing, Doug Davison and Jon Silk serve as executive producers.
The film was produced by New Line and is being distributed by New Line and Warner Bros.
"IT" will be in theaters on September 8.
