Carolin Weische

Hi, I'm Carolin Weische, a freelance journalist with over ten years of experience in radio journalism, focusing on social inequality, human rights, and the climate crisis - particularly in the German-Brazilian context.

After studying journalism at TU Dortmund University and NOVA University Lisbon, I completed a traineeship at WDR in Cologne. Since 2014, I have been working freelance for WDR and other public broadcasters like COSMO, WDR5, and Deutschlandfunk Nova. My research has taken me to Rwanda, Indigenous communities along the Tapajós River in the Amazon, or the Great African Seaforest in Cape Town.
