Trump praises the queen and insults the mayor of London

Donald Trump on Monday praised the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, "a wonderful woman," at a banquet at Buckingham Palace on the first day of a state visit that began with an avenging tweet from the US president.
A few hours after calling the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, a "total loser", immediately giving a decidedly controversial tone to his three-day visit, the Republican businessman opted for a much more solemn tone.
Speaking at the beginning of the state dinner, "the eternal friendship between our two peoples," Mr. Trump hailed the "truly remarkable" reign of Elizabeth II, which was crowned in 1953.
