US Vice President Mike Pence Intervenes in Abortion Debate

US Vice President Mike Pence spoke in the explosive debate on abortion on Tuesday, calling on the Supreme Court to ban "selective" abortion based on fetus's "race, sex or disability."
More immediately, access to voluntary abortion (abortion) is threatened in Missouri, where the last state clinic performing these procedures may lose its authorization by Friday.
"This week, Missouri will become the first state to plunge into the dark, without a health center that practices legal and secure abortions," Leana Wen, president of the powerful association Planned Parenthood, said in a statement.
