Iranian Foreign Ministry rejects Saudi charges after drone attacks
The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Friday rejected Saudi accusations that Tehran has ordered drone attacks against oil facilities in the kingdom last Tuesday.
These attacks have been claimed by Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthi militiamen who have been fighting for four years in an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
"After 1,500 days, you are still in the wrong, it is not enough?", Written on Twitter, addressed to the Saudis, the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Mousavi. "It is time that you stop your crimes against the Yemeni people, you can not hide your weakness behind such accusations," he adds.
Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman on Thursday accused Iran of sponsoring Tuesday's drone attacks.
Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Joubeir said the Houthi militia was "an integral part" of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
