Small success at the Balkan summit: Belgrade and Pristina renew dialogue

For Pristina and Belgrade, but also for Berlin and Paris, this Balkan summit was a chance to put their relationship back on track …
Whether it's Brexit, trade relations with the United States, or their approach to the fight against climate change, the Franco-German engine of Europe seems well seized.
But Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron had a common goal with this Balkan summit in Berlin: to bring together the Serbian and Kosovar leaders to relaunch the dialogue and appease the recent renewed tension. Results: Merkel and Macron ostensibly showed good agreement, and Serbia and Kosovo agreed to resume talks. A new meeting is scheduled for early July in Paris.
The smooth approach of the French President and the German Chancellor therefore paid:
