Ukraine: The granting of Russian passports to separatist regions facilitated.

Vladimir Putin has signed a decree simplifying procedures for obtaining a Russian passport for residents of the breakaway regions of eastern Ukraine, the Kremlin announced on Wednesday.

The Donetsk and Luhansk regions, in the hands of pro-Russian separatists, seceded in 2014. Moscow provided military support to the separatists, according to evidence collected by Reuters, even though the Kremlin denies it.

In Kiev, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkine denounced the decree promulgated by the Russian President, seeing in the decision "to grant passports in the occupied territories of Ukraine the continuation of aggression and interference in our internal affairs ". He urged Ukrainians living in separatist areas not to apply for Russian passports....
