Former Israeli minister guilty of espionage for Iran
A former Israeli minister has admitted to spying on behalf of Iran, under an agreement to plead guilty that will be sentenced to eleven years in prison, announced Wednesday the Ministry of Justice.

Gonen Segev, Minister of Energy from 1995 to 1996, was indicted last June.

According to Shin Bet, Israel's internal security service, Gonen Segev, was recruited seven years ago by the Iranian intelligence services when he was living in Nigeria and "served as an agent".

Still according to Shin Bet, he made contact with Iranian officials at the Iranian Embassy in Nigeria in 2012 and twice traveled to Iran to meet with his liaison officers.
