Trump's advisor talks about

Conditions must be met before the withdrawal of US troops from Syria, such as the security of their Kurdish allies, said Sunday John Bolton, the national security adviser to US President Donald Trump.

Visiting Israel since Saturday, Bolton told reporters that the United States wants Turkey to guarantee the protection of Kurds in Syria, according to US television channel NBC News.

Ankara does not hide its intention to launch an offensive against them to avoid the formation, at its doors, of an embryo of Kurdish state likely to revive the separatism of the Turkish Kurds.

So far Washington's allies in the fight against jihadists, Kurdish fighters in Syria fear that the US withdrawal will leave them helpless against Turkey.
