Tricks’ ‘And Everything In Between Us’ takes us on a suburban stroll through laid back LA raps

Suburban LA alternative duo Tricks have released a new track ‘And Everything In Between Us’ as the feature single from their debut EP ‘The Epic Preview’.
‘And Everything In Between Us’ does well at encapsulating a suburban stroll across LA’s dusky hours. The group’s two members have an air of effortlessness about them while going languidly back and forth over the track at a pace set by those with nothing but time on their hands. At its best, Tricks manage to conjure a feeling not too dissimilar from the likes of Isaiah Rashad or a growing number of laid-back melodic rap compatriots like Smino. 
The song hits its highest points in the artists’ interplay with each other, with each of Tricks’ duo able to fit in a pocket in a lazy, but intended-that-way-kind-of-way. These LA kids are sure to pull some more Tricks out of their pocket – so we’ll be keeping an eye on them.
