A MELODY FOR A POEM: BRYAN KELLY’S ‘CUT WILD’

Imagine you’re travelling on a coach in the middle of nowhere and you’re listening to a folky playlist until you stop onto an intriguing tune: that’s Bryan Kelly’s ‘Cut Wild’.
‘Cut Wild’ is not a simple song, it’s a 1:14 minute-long melodic poem with an avant-guard feel that opens itself to interpretation. In fact, whist the vocals and the melody remain steady as if he is performing a theatre-like monologue, Bryan proficiently plays with his words as only a skilled writer can do.
Bryan Kelly has multiple projects on the go and ‘Cut Wild’ is definitely a brief but meaningful piece of them.
