Matty Vee – Caught in the Riptide: A Post Punk Indie Pop Debut
Matty Vee has made his debut with the Alt Pop Rock EP “Rollies & Red Wine”. By mixing cold Post Punk tones with accordantly harmonic Pop vocals in an atmospheric soundscape, he definitely has our attention.
The standout track Caught in the Riptide offers plenty of beguiling nuances. Yet, Matty Vee’s aural distinction truly lies in the sheer amount of expressive passion which doesn’t fail to resonate as the soul-soaked single unravels.
If you could imagine what it would sound like if Interpol started to dabble in Pop music, you’ll be able to get an idea of how uniquely inventive Matty Vee’s approach to his sound is.
With an LP in the pipeline, Matty Vee is well worth putting on your radar.
