Jennie Willoughby – Home: Quiescently Captivating Acoustic Indie Folk Pop
Every now and again, you’ll get the pleasure of encountering an artist with a distinctive yet simplistic sound. We landed on a captivating aural goldmine with Jennie Willoughby’s acoustic Indie single Home.
The acoustic guitar-led soundscape may be stripped back, but the soul undoubtedly remains in the quiescently composed single. Any fans of Angel Olsen will want to give this track repeat attention. I also have a feeling that those enamoured by Courtney Barnett will also appreciate the humble, reflective nature of the Nashville-based artist’s take on Indie Pop Folk with Home.
Jennie Willoughby will be releasing one more single before the release of her EP in April before touring in Spring. If you get a chance to see her live, take it.
You can listen to Home for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud now.
