YayRaven – Set Me Free ft Debbiah: Transfixing Moody Alt RnB Pop

London-based Indie RnB artist YayRaven kept us enamoured with her myriad of smooth Urban Pop releases in 2019. And we definitely felt the sharp melodic hooks in her first 2020 single “Set Me Free” featuring Debbiah.
Once again, YayRaven has used her signature RnB Trap Pop sound to create a smooth, mellow track which is full of soul – but not the kind of soul which you’re accustomed to hearing in RnB. Her convictive, unashamedly raw performance in Set Me Free hit hard. Not through bellowing harmonics, but through magnetically moody verses which allow you to believe every word which makes up the candid lyrics.
Set me free is a rare track which drips with commercial potential while at the same time being inventive. We're already stoked to hear what follows.
