Audrey – She Says: Rhythmically Swampy Blues Rock

The nostalgia-inducing rhythm of Blues will never go out of style, which is why it’s always a pleasure to introduce a promising up and coming swampy Blues collective. Audrey have recently released their debut single and music video ‘She Says’, and whatever preconceptions you have when it comes to Blues, throw them out of the window right now. Audrey have polished the perpetually cathartic soundscape with their sultry style and Indie edge which comes with a subtle psychedelic kick. The fact that in the video the drummer is wearing a Libertines t-shirt speaks volumes, yet, it’s the vocals which set Audrey apart from past and contemporary artists alike. The vocals are stripped back, and sound infinitely more innocent than you’d ever come to expect from the genre, there’s a hint of vulnerability which encompasses ‘She Says’ and amplifies the resonance of the track.
