Tiyto – A Different Time: The Sexiest Genre Mash You’ll Hear All Year

Considering the Arctic Monkeys have sold out, you’re going to need another artist on your playlists creating that low down and dirty Alt Rock sound that I’m pretty sure no one can resist. Tiyto are the perfect act to bridge that aural gap. Yet, describing Tiyto as Alt Rock feels like the biggest cop out ever, but defining their funk addled, raucously sexy style isn’t all too easy with their mix of genres used to create their sound. It would be easier to say they’ve created an absolute monster with their latest single A Different Time. Weaved into the intricate web which is Tiyto’s latest track A Different Time is a mix of EDM Trap, Rock, Funk and Indie. As debut singles go, you really couldn’t ask for more. For guitar fans there are intricate and sensually grinding riffs to provide the perfect rhythm to the track over the harsh kicks of the Trap beat. Then there’s the teasing vocals which invite you into the soul of the track as they verse the provocatively fabulous lyrics.
