Zakee El – Hood Mantra: Childish Gambino Fans; Pay Attention

Zakee El clearly went the extra mile with both his new single Hood Mantra along with the music video. I’m not sure what I fell in love with first; the charisma Zakee El effortlessly exudes or the chillingly beautiful composition of Hip Hop which is introduced by the dread instilling bowing of the Cello. Yet, the track progresses into a high-vibe stylish approach to Hip Hop steeped in euphoric soul that you just can’t help getting caught up in. If you like pensively versed philosophy to be an intrinsic part of lyrics I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed with Zakee El’s approach which keeps the track as gritty as it is uplifting.

You can check out the official music video to Hood Mantra which was released on April 1st, 2018 on YouTube now, it’s probably the second-best music video I’ve seen this year. (Childish Gambino stole the top spot, sorry Zakee). The stunning Hip Hop artist’s video has huge viral potential, so, I’d check it out before your friends do.
