Jakeypoo – Love and Grace: Sweetly Fractured Acoustic from an Artist that Definitely Should Not be Judged by His Name

Before I get to singing this acoustic artists praises, I have to just put it out there, I in no way condone the chosen name. I can’t quite imagine anyone having the conversation,

“Who are you seeing tonight?”
“Jakeypoo”.

Yes, it’s a little twee, but I’m not sure I’ve met anyone who favours immaturity in their music. Now that’s out of my system, I can get around to recommending that you all check out his track Love and Grace which was released March 30th, 2018.

His fractured vocal ability displays a domineering prominence over his blister-inducing acoustic strumming. Ed Sheeran and Plain White Tee’s fans will be in heaven with the slightly length angst fuelled track. The production has a succinct Lo Fi feel which gives Love and Grace an unarguably raw sound, however, there wasn’t much progression to speak of throughout the track which I suppose isn’t uncommon for acoustic guitar-driven tracks, but, I can’t help but feel, that given the extended duration the track could have been infinitely more progressive if the chords were switched up a little.
