Greentea Peng veröffentlicht ihre neue Single "Revolution" + Video

Rising-Star Greentea Peng veröffentlicht ihre neue Single "Revolution" mit einem begleitenden Video, das unter der Regie von Melody Maker entstand. Beide arbeiteten bereits häufiger zusammen, siehe Video von "Ghost Town". "Revolution" folgt auf die Single "Hu Man". Beide Male schafft die Singer-Songwriterin Musik, die sowohl kraftvoll als auch vorwärtsgewand ist und führt ihre HörerInnen durch diese zermürbende Zeit. Die Bedeutung der neuen Single erläutert sie wie folgt;
“A result of recent turmoil: political, societal, and individual. 2020, a painfully transformative year for the collective. Revolution is a product of this pain and also the anger we’ve been struggling to move through, at the same time it represents the hope conjured. A reminder to remember where the first revolution must take place and also a reminder to be aware of where and what we put our energy and belief into. What ideologies are we reinforcing, and if there’s room for them in the new unified future we are trying to create. Revolution poses the question, who’s new world will this be?”

"Revolution" folgt auf das bereits erwähnte "Hu Man" und die Veröffentlichung von "Ghost Town" im März, ein zutiefst persönlicher und politischer Appell gegen die Gentrifizierung Londons, der Heimat von Greentea, der aber gleichermaßen eine globale Krise anspricht.
