Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Reported Intention to Use Blockchain — Coinzdaily

Chairman of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) said that the bank intends to pay special attention to the development of Blockchain. The statement was published in BiaNews on September 1.

ICBC, which was founded in 1984, is the largest Chinese bank. The client base of ICBC includes 5,000 corporate and 530 million private accounts. Last year, the bank announced its intention to develop “intelligent banking services” and financial technologies.

According to the data, ICBC Chairman Yi Huiman said that the bank intends to focus its attention, first of all, on working with innovations in the field of cloud technologies, databases, intelligence (AI), Blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT).

BiaNews reported that at the moment the bank is looking for tools for the implementation and development of “smart banking services”, which will improve the quality of services in the financial ecosystem.
