How long does it take Paramedic Training is the basic question for those who love the profession of health? Paramedics are those people who are responsible for providing emergency first aid to the sick and injured people. There are also known as EMTs because they are dealing with the Emergency Medical Technicians. The paramedics are answering the emergency calls, providing the medical services to the victims.

The paramedics are often dealing with matters of death and life. If you are fond of becoming the paramedics then you should have to enroll in the training of paramedics.


How to become a Paramedics:-

For becoming the paramedics you need to enroll yourself in the training. There are three levels of training and paramedic’s certification. These levels are EMT-B (EMT Basics), EMT-I (EMT Intermediate), and EMT-P (EMT Paramedic). For becoming the paramedic first you need to clear the EMT basics and EMT intermediate by taking the complete classes of the course and passing the exam of both courses.


EMT Basic:-

You can enroll in the EMT basic just after taking the diploma or certificate of high school. The EMT basic training can complete in just three weeks to a few months it will depend on the potential of the candidate. The candidate should have a valid CPR certificate before getting enrolment in the EMT basic and one more thing for becoming the EMT paramedic you need to clear the EMT basics.

EMT Intermediate:-

In this training, the candidate gets the opportunity to learn about administer intravenous fluids skills, how to deal with the different clinics and medical emergencies, and how to use advanced airway devices. For the EMT intermediate, you require 30 hours to 35 hours it will depend on the course schedule and state requirements, once you clear the EMT intermediate you will be eligible for enrolling in the paramedic. Remember this training is also compulsory.


EMT Paramedics:-

In this training, the candidates learn the majority part of the training. After completing this training the candidate will receive a valid degree in emergency medical services from the institute where he is getting training. It is technical education so the candidate can’t convert it into a bachelor’s degree.


How to get a license of EMT Paramedics:-

Once the candidate clears the training and gets all EMT skills after that candidate needs to pass the certification exam. This exam will be taken from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. For getting the certificate and license the candidate should need to clear this exam. The exam will be taken in written and practical form. So for passing the exam, you need to clear the written and practical exams.
