New Facebook Watch Comedy Series

Facebook Watch Comedy Series

“Human Discoveries,” an adult-comedy series starring Zac Efron and Anna Kendrick is coming to Facebook Watch, a video-on-demand service. The show features animation and comedy like you've never seen on Facebook.
Human Discoveries follows a group of people living in a primitive time period as they discover and experience cultural innovations for the first time—creating fire, inventing the wheel, getting drunk off grape juice and figuring out what the hell monogamy is. The show premieres July 16th.

Comedy is Social Commentary

The brainchild of Chris Bruno & David Lee, the show is a social commentary on 2019 through a prehistoric lens. ShadowMachine, the team behind Bojack Horseman, produced the series in part with Efron’s production company Ninjas Runnin’ Wild. Yes, we checked, that is indeed the name of his production company.
The show also stars Jillian Bell as Minerva, Lamorne Morris as Trog and Paul Scheer as the Fabio/Tarzan hybrid Ugg. Human discoveries also features appearances from Stephanie Beatriz, Lisa Kudrow and others.

Comical Cast

The cast also includes Jillian Bell, and Paul Scheer plays a dude named Ugg. The central characters are living at the dawn of human civilization and slowly discover pesky necessities like fire and the wheel. They also uncover art, alcohol, fashion, racism, small talk and monogamy. The series appears to be a plethora of all things insane.
Longtime childhood friends Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee are the shows creators. The idea was born over a shared bag of popcorn that led them to wonder about the first person to pop a corn kernel over a fire. The series grew into a social commentary on 2019 through the lens of prehistoric times.
