The Elite to remain All Elite in AEW

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Ahead of Wednesday night's 200th broadcast of Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling secured four major re-signings that will remain All Elite.

A news release from AEW Wednesday reports that CEO Tony Khan has re-signed Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson to long-term extensions. The trio, better known as The Elite, are currently executive vice presidents of the company.

The release would also mention a new contract for fellow member "Hangman" Adam Page.

The quartet represents four cornerstones that were key to launching AEW alongside owner Shahid Khan and son Tony in 2019.

In the four years since the promotion's launch, they have been instrumental in building AEW into a household name across the globe. It has also emerged into a semi-contender against World Wrestling Entertainment, which was taken over by Endeavor earlier this year.

Despite the competition, AEW has also curated some of the most critically-acclaimed matches in professional wrestling history. These matches also include those of sister promotion Ring of Honor Wrestling.

Omega, the Jacksons, and Page have each experiences success in both individual, tag, and trios action in AEW. Omega and Page have not only been former AEW World Champions but also World Tag Team Champions. Omega has held the World Trios Championship twice alongside the Jacksons, better known as The Young Bucks. The Young Bucks themselves are former two-time World Tag Team Champions.

"The Elite have been so important to the launch of AEW, with the Young Bucks going all in when I first approached them in 2018," Khan said, recalling his dream to create an international pro wrestling promotion. "Shortly after that, their partners and closest friends Kenny Omega and Adam Page joined us to formally launch All Elite Wrestling."
