Discover why air fryers are a popular countertop appliance

CLINTON — Air fryers have become a popular kitchen countertop appliance because they are easy to use, energy-efficient, cook a variety of foods, and clean up easily. If your air fryer sits unused or you are considering purchasing one, plan to attend the University of Illinois Extension’s class at Vespasian Warner Public Library.


Hot and Fast: Cooking with an Air Fryer will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 10. It will be at Vespasian Warner Public Library, 310 N. Quincy St., in Clinton. This class is free. Kids age seven and up may attend with an adult. Participants will enjoy recipe demonstrations and food samples.


“The world of countertop appliances, including air fryers, is expanding,” says Caitlin Mellendorf, nutrition and wellness educator. “This class will give attendees an opportunity to see an air fryer in action. get ideas for how to incorporate air frying into home cooking.”
